Fun Divers and Beginners

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to breathe underwater. If you want to find out but aren’t quite ready to take the plunge into a certification course, the Charlie Claws Fun Dive is the perfect opportunity to experience scuba diving for the first time – gently helped & guided by one of our experienced diving instructors. Safe, fantastic & fun.

There is nothing like breathing underwater for the very first time. It takes a little getting used to –after all, human beings weren’t designed to do that – but after a few minutes of awestruck wonder, our divers realize how easy scuba diving really is. The biggest challenge our instructors have with the Fun Divers is not coaxing participants into the water, but coaxing them out when the dive is over!

After you resurface from your new conquest, you’ll be awarded a Charlie Claw’s diving certificate.

For Qualified Divers

Almost all the reefs in the area are diveable throughout the year, and afford excellent diving during the warm sunny days that are common even during the rainy season. The reasons for this fortunate phenomenon are that there are, unlike along most of the Kenya coastline, no fringing reefs to cross, and there is always a leeward ( or land ) side to the islands where the water should be calm & clear. There are more than 10 dive sites, varying from 5 to 30+ metres in the area.

We have an excellent roster of experienced dive masters who are ready to provide you with great tips on where to dive so that you can have the best possible diving experience. Your experience plus their knowledge of the coral reefs in this area will ensure that you don’t miss out on a good thing below.

As we are a small but passionate dive school our dhow rarely takes more than 8 divers, often less – giving everyone time to dive, accompanied, at their own speed & with individual care.

Beneath the waters, divers are regularly joined by turtles. SSI & PADI certified diving instructors supervise and offer individual assistance. Also BSAC registered.

Staying in the area is a soul rejuvenating experience – tranquil & away from the hassle of the modern world . Here time does stand still. We can offer you Diving packages from 2 dives to 12 dives or more. This can include a stunning night dive for divers with an advanced qualification or above.
